Funeral Services for Montana Jay Measheaw, 16, of Riverside Drive, will be held on Friday, May 23rd, at 10:00 AM at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ogdensburg.
Montana died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at his home.
Born September 5, 1997 in Ogdensburg, he was the son of Lori (Lamont) Brooks, Canton and Jay Measheaw, Ogdensburg. He attended Canton Central School, where he was a stellar athlete, playing basketball, lacrosse and soccer. He also attended numerous St. Lawrence Basketball Camps, as well as, "show cases" through Scout Focus. He also played on the Hoopsters Traveling Team.
In addition to his Mother and Father, Montana is survived by his siblings, Angila (Donald) Putney of Ogdensburg, Daniel Brooks of Albany, Allan (Megan) Brooks of Ausable Forks, NY, Tonya (Dave) Adams of Boston, MA, Christopher Doe of NC, Cassandra Brooks of Richville, Justin Measheaw of Ogdensburg, Brittany Measheaw of Ogdensburg and Holly Williams of Lisbon; his Paternal Grandmother, Linda Measheaw and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He will also be remembered by his team-mates and friends.
Montana enjoyed playing X-Box, playing "One-on-One" and time spent with friends. He will fondly remembered for touting the phrase "# ALL DAY SON"
