Obituary of Vicky A. Harris

Canton—

Memorial Services for Vicky Anna Harris, 77, formerly of 37 Riverside Drive, Canton, will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11 AM in the Canton United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael H. Terrell officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery in Syracuse. 

Vicky died Wednesday, October 4th at St. Regis Nursing Home, where she was a resident since 2008.

Vicky was born March 8, 1940, in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late, Walter K. & Dorothy (Davis) Harris.   She was a graduate of Liverpool High School and took several in service classes through her work.

Vicky was a manager for NY State Teacher’s Dietary for 15 years.  She was also a self-employed restaurant owner, operating “Harris Turkey Restaurants” at two locations in Liverpool, NY.

Vicky will be fondly remembered  by her cousins, Pat Ragan of Canton, Jim Davis of Canton and Sue Roach of Heuvelton.

She moved to Canton after the ice storm of 1998.  While in Canton, she was a member of the Canton United Methodist Church, where she would assist with the Goodwill Dinners.  She would also visit the residents at the nursing home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Canton United Methodist Church Steeple Fund.
