Canton-

Funeral services for Beverly I. Hill, 87, of Canton will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 21 Park Street, Canton.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 15th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Canton.

Beverly died Sunday at Upstate Medical Center after a brief stay.

Born September 11, 1930, in Madrid, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond & Velma (Coleman) Arquitt.  She graduated Canton High School in 1949.

On December 16, 1949, she married George E. Hill at the Grace Episcopal Church in Canton.  George died Dec 1993.

Beverly retired from Canton High School where she worked in the cafeteria for 27 years.  She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and BINGO at Canton Senior Citizens.  She also liked knitting, crocheting and baking banana bread.  Most of all she was a loving, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Roger (Deborah) Hill of Richfield, NC, Marsha (Mark) Watson of Madrid, Kimberly (Arthur) Patton of Oswego and Sharon Backus of Canton; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Arquitt.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Canton Fire & Rescue or to St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund.
