Dear Malcolm,
I wanted a to add last, but not of less importance.
Please rest assured and in piece that we will not rest until we resolve in detail and exactly how did it happen that you were not given an autopsy in light of the fact that you passed away unaccompanied.
You have my word Malcolm, RIP.
Joseph M. Sisson.

Dear Malcolm John McCormick,
Although we have never met, your father helped my father (John McCormick Sisson) in his work as, "The Editor" of the McCormick Family Chronicles.
After my father passed away in 2005, you were the last, "grandchild" alive.
From that day you passed from this world (Friday, 29 December 2017) the only surviving next-of-kin for you are now the great-grandchildren of your grandparents, Moore, Mary (Mrs. Michael McCormick) such as Hilde Sisson and I, Joseph Sisson.
Many questions remain for us regarding how you were admitted to the Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing so far from your home in Canton? What ever happened to your beloved dog, Willoughby?
Please rest in piece Malcolm in knowing that there are certain great-grandchildren / next-of-kin that will not rest until due diligence has been exerted to resolve these mysteries and related confusion.
You have my word Malcolm.
Joseph M. Sisson

You taught me so much Malcolm, when I became historian, after you retired. You loved the early social life in Canton and helped me appreciate all of Canton's history and its people. You will be missed!

I was thinking of Malcolm last night and the apparent inconsistencies between his obit posted here and his will (both a matter of public record). It's hard to see how, assuming the obit being that it is verifiable via public historical evidence, how his last will on the other hand is so diametrically inconsistent with his documented public and private life.
Hopefully someone who knew him personally will post publicly here or elsewhere and shed some light on the matter and clear up the whole mystery of Malcolm's life and death (at least those aspects apparentlly at this point) not being accurately or perhaps even authentically reflected in his will.
1. My questions below are based on the following noted as well as other apparent inconsistencies:
A. Malcolm, while living, gave himself to dance and the arts professionally and in retirement gave of himself to dance and the arts via donations to museum, writing, etc.
B. Malcolm's estate in death does not give to the above as he did in life, but instead, 1/3 to Kyra Lober, 1/3 to PETA, and 1/3 to what some would argue is the PETA affiliate, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
So my questions are:
1. Did Malcolm live a double life?
2. Or is the will a fraud?
3. Or is there yet another plausible explanation for these and other inconsistencies?
Note: "show cause" date regarding the apparent will in question of Malcolm John McCormick has been set for April 12, 2018 before the St. Lawrence County Surrogate's Court.
One last "food" for thought question:
Did Malcolm and his beloved Bedlington Terrier, Willoughby, live on a strictly vegan diet, free of animal products in keeping with his will?

I didn't know Malcom while he was living, although I am distantly related somehow. And unfortunately I only learned of him after his passing.
If anyone to post here considered Malcom their friend, or knew him, or was acquainted with him, however briefly, I send you my condolences. From what I've read in his obit, the world has benefited greatly from him. May God bless you in your personal remembrances of Malcolm.
