Canton—

Lillian M. Shoulette, 77, of Miner Street Road, Canton, died Monday, January 1, 2018, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice & Palliative Care.

TENTATIVELY:  Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 7:15 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 21 Park Street, Canton.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM prior to her funeral. 

Lillian was born May 28, 1940, in Canton, NY, a daughter of Arthur “Pete” & Wavia Daniels Day.  She was a graduate of Canton High School and on June 10, 1961, she married her beloved Donald J. Shoulette at St. Mary’s Church in Canton. 

She retired in 1996 from Corning Glass after a 23 year career in the Quality Control Department.  Previously she worked for Dr. Jack Hardy Optometrist for a few years and also for the US Postal Service, Canton as a substitute rural mail carrier.

Surviving are her husband Donald J. of Canton; her son and daughter-in-law, David “Stubby” & Reannette Shoulette of Canton; her daughter, Deanne “Dee” & Derrick Frisco of Canton; three grandchildren, Jessica Caskinett, Shauna Frisco and Allison Shoulette; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Gloria Sherman of Madrid; her brother, Roger A. Day of Canton; a number of nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Layla.

Lillian was predeceased by two brothers, William Henry and Charles Day and by a sister, Janet Day.

She loved her family dearly and treasured the time they spent together.  She also enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, knitting, crocheting and socializing with friends and family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
