Elaine worked at SUNY Canton as a custodian until her retirement in 2003.
She enjoyed shuffleboard, Syracuse basketball and was an avid Yankees fan. She knew the stats of the players and would have long discussions with her son-in-law, John, on how they could improve their game. She and her husband, Tom, never missed a sporting event of her grandchildren or her son-in-law. She was there rain or shine, it didn’t matter. She was the best fan ever for Char’s Softball and her grandson’s team, the Morley Mad Dogs.
Elaine loved baking and cooking for everyone and the house always smelled of fresh baked cookies. She was also an avid volunteer and supporter of the local fire departments. Lisbon Fire Department will especially miss her potato salad. If you needed a hand, she was there.
Elaine will always be remembered for her generous heart and her love of her family will be with us forever.
