Obituary of Timothy Wade Perry

Timothy Wade Perry, 54, of County Rte 27, Canton, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at his home under the care of his loving family.

Tim was born September 16, 1963, in Canton, NY, a son of the late Theodore, Sr. & Helena Halliday Perry.  He received his education Colton-Pierrepont Central School (1981), SUNY Canton (1983) and received his bachelor's degree in Labor Law Relations from SUNY Potsdam (1987).

He married Stacey Smith in June of 1987, and the couple had a son, Tyler.  The marriage later ended in friendship.

​Tim was employed as Human Resource Director for Ansen Corporation, Ogdensburg from Jan 2007-2017.  He was also owner/ operator of Work Right HR and Recruitment Service from May 2001 - Aug 2017, as well as, an adjunct professor at SUNY Canton from 2000-2017.  Previously he worked as Human Resource Director for Waste Stream, Potsdam and worked at Clarkson School of Management.

Surviving are his son Tyler E. Perry of MI; his brothers and sisters, Theodore E., Jr. & wife Jeannie of Colorado Springs, Helen "Peggy" Sharlow of Russell, Darlene Perry of Gouverneur, Cheri Sochia of Cloves, NM, Shane Perry of Colton, Kimberly Perry of CA, Lisa Buckley & husband Jim of Potsdam and Michele Perry of Potsdam.

Tim was a music fan of Chris DeBurgh; enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading.  He was also a baseball fan and sports enthusiast. He coached the Knapps Station baseball team along with Joe Carbone. Tim was a mentor to many students and co-workers. He liked to joke with friends and family and always got the last word in.

Per his request, a private memorial toast is being planned for family and dear friends.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund; Knapp Station areaPee Wee Baseball Team; or to Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.

Tim's care is entrusted to Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Canton.
