To the Denesha family, I am so sorry that I was unable to attend the services in honor of Elmer. I attended the graduation of my daughter as an orthopedic surgeon in Ft. Lauderville, Fl last evening. I admired and respected him and will miss him as I have your mom at Kendrew Grange dinners and church socials. He was very accomplished, and I will always remember the twinkle in his eye. He lived a great life.

Mark,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know that you will miss him and your nightly chats, but what a great role model you and your family have.
Again, so sorry that I was not able to attend his services.
Sincerely,
Joyce

Elmer was one of my favorite uncles. His laugh was unique - and always near the surface! He loved a good joke and always laughed at life.
He loved his wife, his family, friends (which means almost everyone he ever met!), took setbacks in stride.
I've been thinking of a way to describe Elmer, and I came up with one word: Generous. He was generous of time, love; a benevolent spirit. He (and aunt Edith) often took care of others with no expectations of reward. They just treated people the way people should be treated.
Elmer ignored nay-sayers and just got on with life. What a man.

Your Dad will be missed by many and I will miss his stories. He used to stop by when he see us outside and we had quite a few good visits. We used to stop and see and visit with him when we see him out in the yard too. He used to swerve at Susie when he would see her walking and then laugh and wave at her. He was quite a man and not many like him left. Take care.

One of the finest people I knew. I'll aiways remember standing on the side of Caroline St. as Elmer road his bicycle by with his grandaughter on the cross bar(and he wasn't any spring chicken!). What a guy. Hope I can be half as good as him in old age..Thanks Elmer...my best to all the family...Clyde Morse

The little house on the side street was my rest area on Route 11. Sometimes would change my route just to stop by. If Elmer wasn't home always had a good visit with Edith and caught up on what the grandchildren were all doing, and got a sandwich and cup of coffee to boot! Eternal rest to two beautiful souls. Sam+

Sorry to hear about "Uncle Elmer". He was a kind man who always greeted me with a smile and took time to ask about my family. He left a great mark in this world. I'd like to think that Grandma and Grandpa just gained their missing Pedro player in heaven.
