Obituary of Rachel R. Noble

Canton--

Rachel R. Noble, 89, of Meade Road, Canton, died Sunday, December 23, 2018 at her home while under the care of her family and Hospice & Palliative Care.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 27 at 11:00 am at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Canton with Pastor Rick Sinclair officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Crary Mills Cemetery.

Rachel was born December 10, 1929 in Canton, NY.  She was a daughter of the late Wesley & Grace (Woodcock) Rich.  She was a of Canton High School (1948) and from Canton ATC, where she earned a degree in Food Administration.

In 1949 she married Orrin W. Noble in Canton.  Orrin passed April 12, 1993.  The couple raised six children and worked together on the family farm (Noble Farm).  Rachel also worked in nursing at Canton Hospital.

Surviving are her six children, Deborah Noble of VA, David Noble of Canton, Edward (Patricia) Noble of Canton, Susan McEwen of VA, Tommy Noble of Canton and Gary (Wendy) Noble of Canton; twelve grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Sheldon and a brother, John Rich.

Rachel was active in the Canton 4-H for 25 years, where she was a member and a Leader.

She had been a member of Canton Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher before becoming a member of the Christian Fellowship Center in Madrid.
