Obituary of Patricia C. Hayden

Canton--

Patricia C. Hayden, 92, formerly of Buck Street, Canton, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at United Helpers Maplewood Campus, where she was a resident.

A mass of christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at 10:30 am with Rev. Bryan Stitt as celebrant.  The family will receive friends on Monday, May 13, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Canton.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton.

Additional off-street parking is available behind "LUNA" at 18 Park Street.

Mrs. Hayden was born March 26, 1927, the daughter of Dr. James & Eileen Curran of Ossining, NY.  She married William J. Hayden on August 20, 1949.  Mr. Hayden, a long-time teacher at Canton Central School, died in 1997.

Mrs. Hayden was a member of the St. Lawrence University class of 1949.  She is survived by three children: daughter, Katherine (Fay) Peters of Canton, NY; son, Dan (Sue) Hayden of Canton, NY; and son, Jim (Shelley) Hayden of Saranac Lake, NY.  She is also survived by three grandchildren: Jeffrey Peters, Jennifer Ragan and Matthew Hayden; and four great grandchildren: Addison Hayden Ragan, Jackson Hayden Peters, Gavin Hudson Peters, and Finnegan Daniel Hayden.

Patricia was a long-time member of the Nite Owls Home Dem Unit, Canton Garden Club, St. Lawrence County Historical Society, and the Canton Study Club.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family.
