Arrangements for Professor Emeritus, George Foster McFarland, 93, of Elm Street, are incomplete at this time. Mr. McFarland died Monday, January 5, 2015, at his home while under the care of his loving wife and Hospice. He was a Craig Professor of English, St. Lawrence University from 1952-1985. In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Andrew & Lisa McFarland of Giddings, TX and Daniel & Amy McFarland of Stockholm, NY; one daughter, Laura McFarland and husband Stan Hadler of North Bend, WA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
