Pierrepont – Roy Anthony Skiff, Sr., 79, of County Route 29, died December 30, 2014 at his home while under the loving care of his family and Hospice. Burial taking place in Crary Mills Cemetery in the spring. Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Park Street, Canton is handling arrangements. Roy was born Sept. 21, 1935 in Onchiota, NY, a son of the late, Alfred & Leona Skiff. On Feb, 6, 1960, he married Pauline Butterfield. Pauline died in Nov. of 1993. Surviving are his two sons, J.R. Skiff and companion Linda Anson of Russell and Harold Skiff and wife Theresa of Colton; four daughters, Joan Skiff and husband Randy Jackson of Pierrepont, Janice Clough and husband Bill of Potsdam, Sherry Hamilton and companion Rusty of Colton and Delta Ramsay and companion Jeff of Colton; one brother, Ike Skiff of Bloomingdale, NY; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Roy worked for 20+ years for St. Lawrence University Golf Club as a groundskeeper. He also enjoyed socializing and hunting with friends and family.
