Obituary of Tina Marie Gotham Kinch

Tina Marie (Gotham) Kinch, 47, of Northwoods Road, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at her home while under the care of her loving family and Hospice & Palliative Care. Calling hours will be Monday evening from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 21 Park Street, Canton. A time of reflection will be held at 6:00 PM for friends and family to share a memory of Tina. A reception will immediately follow the calling hours at the Hermon Fire Hall.
Tina was born December 8, 1967, in Cortland, NY, a daughter of Pamela (Carr) and the late Leo B. Gotham. She attended Hermon-DeKalb School until the age of 15, at which time she “home-schooled” before receiving her G.E.D. and attending Mater Dei College in Ogdensburg.
Tina had worked at the Best Western University Inn, St. Lawrence University, the Little Brook Diner and for Home Health Services. She also helped her Mom and Dad on the family farm.
On October 23, 1993, she married Jeffrey Kinch on Wells Street in DeKalb Junction with Pastor Bill Scott as celebrant.
In addition to her husband and mother, Tina is survived by; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Thomas & Susan of Hermon, Daniel & Brandie of Hermon, Enos & Jenne of Cove City, NC, Rick of Cove City, NC and Douglas of Cove City, NC; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sara & Lewis Gilbert of Emeralds Is, NC and Pamela & David Kirkpatrick of Cove City, NC; 22 nieces & nephews; two step-children, Howard (Libby) Kinch of DeKalb Jct and Jeffrey (Misty) Kinch; three step-grandchildren, Matthew D., Anthony R. and Haley L. Kinch.
Tina was pre-deceased by her father, and three siblings who died tragically in a house fire in 1979, Leo Richard, PattiSue and Xann May Gotham; and a step-granddaughter, Chantel Kinch.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and crafts, as well as, being outdoors, going to camp and bonfires.
Tina was a free spirit, witty and had a heart of gold! She will surely be missed !
