I met John at Lime Rock Park in the early 1970s when I joined the SCCA and became a flagger. John was also a flagger and we began a friendship, including Tyke. I could never thank John enough for inviting me to my first meeting of the Madison Avenue Sports Car Driving and Chowder Society, which he thought I would enjoy. The following year, 1975, I was became a member and have been ever since. John was right and because of him, I'll celebrate being a Chowderhead for 50 years this year. Thanx John!!
