Obituary of Gladys E. McNeilly
Rensselaer Falls—
Gladys E. McNeilly, 84, of State Highway 68, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at her home.
A graveside service for friends and family will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019, at 2:00 PM in Pine Hill Cemetery, Town of Oswegatchie with Rev. Michael P. Catanzaro officiating.
Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services have been entrusted with arrangements.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Born October 16, 1934, on Sheeks Island, Mill Rouche, Ontario, Canada, a daughter of the late, John & Emma (Kyer) Cooper, she graduated high school in also in Canada.
She married the late, Gordon McNeilly on the family farm on State Hwy 68, Rensselaer Falls. Gordon passed November 12, 1973.
Gladys assisted her husband running the family farm on State Hwy 68 until the time of his death. Afterwards, she worked as a nurse’s aide; for Mitel Networks Inc in product packaging and on the production line; and was a cashier for P&C in Ogdensburg until she retired.
Surviving are her loving daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne (Roger) Wollman of Rensselaer Falls; a sister, Freda Watson of Cornwall, Ontario; two beloved grandchildren, Eric Gordon (Ryan) Wollman of Canton and Danielle (Kevin) Pask of Norwood; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Kinley Rae & Corrigan Michael Andrew Pask.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four sisters, Ceola, Muriel, Laura and Velma and three brothers, Arnold, Elmer and Philip.
Gladys enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, precious time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as maintaining her farm on “Farmville”. She will be fondly remembered as always willing to help others and had a Big Heart and was Full of Love.
