Obituary of Robert K. Locy

CANTON- Robert K. "Bob" Locy, Jr., 68, of Potter Road, died Monday, August 17, 2015, in the comfort of his home while under the care of his family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. A Memorial Service will be held for family & close friends on Friday, August 21st at 2:00 PM with at the Lawrence Funeral Home in Canton with Monsignor John Murphy officiating. "Bob" was born November 18, 1946 in Gouverneur, NY, a son of the late Robert K., Sr. and Loana (LaVare) Locy. He graduated Canton High School in 1967 and attended Canton A.T.C., where he studied Agriculture. He worked on and then owned the Family Farm for many years. Most recently he was working with LeBerge & Curtis and Shawn Grenier Excavating putting in "Tile Drainage." On July 31, 1976, he married Stephanie Anne Episcopo in Syracuse, NY. The couple just celebrated their 39th Wedding Anniversary. In addition to his wife, Stephanie, he is survived by his children, Robert, III and wife Amanda, Ryan, Jed, Angela Denson and husband Jovan and Jodi Burns, all of Canton and Donna Martin and husband Patrick of Hamlin, NY; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; nine brothers, William, Christopher, James, Patrick, Al, Michael, Joseph, Danny and Paul; and four sisters, Katherine Barber, Roxanne Locy, Marta Milos and Renee Wooster. He will also be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Deirdra. "Bob" enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood-working.
