Obituary of Audrey Ann Mousaw

DeKalb Jct.— Audrey Ann Mousaw, 59, of DeKalb Junction died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, July 12, 2020. She was battling cancer. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 16 at 2:00 PM outside at her daughter’s home- 355 Buck Road, Waddington, NY 13694. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Due to the current pandemic the gathering is limited to 50 relatives and friends. Memorial contributions are suggested to: Potsdam Humane Society, 17 Madrid Avenue, Potsdam, NY 13676. Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Canton has been entrusted to Audrey’s care and arrangements. Audrey was born January 17, 1961 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the daughter of Lena (Van der Jagt) Mathewson and the late, Robert E. Rose, Jr. She attended Arlington High School in LaGrange, NY and was married to Andrew Mousaw. Audrey worked at Ye Olde Liquors in Canton for 30+ years, becoming the sole owner in 2005. In her younger years she worked at Rocking Horse Ranch in Highland, NY. She was a member of AMVETS Auxillary in DeKalb and a past member of Elks Lodge Auxillary in Potsdam. In addition to her mother, Lena Mathewson of Canton, she is survived by her two daughters, Kristine (Micheal ) of Parishville and Nicole (Nicholas) Dimon of Waddington; a brother, Robb (Karen) Rose of Poughkeepsie; four grandchildren, Emma, Kelly, Audrina and Jacklynn; two nieces, Victoria and Rachael; a number of dear friends. Audrey was fond of her cats, enjoyed Friday nights at Girls Card Nite, tanning year round and precious time spent with her family.
