Dearest Stewart, Earl, Jimmy, Austin and Erin,
My heart is breaking along with you all. Beautiful, Beautiful Jane! I loved her from the moment I met her at the age of 14 and began babysitting for the boys. Oh what fun we had early Saturday mornings, filling the car with eggs and sending me off to deliver house to house. I had not driven a standard vehicle before this and I remember taking Jane for a quick ride one morning. There was a lot of jerking going on and Jane laughed and said "Ann, people may be having scrambled eggs this morning! I hope that Jane knew that she was always a hero to me. Always kind, funny, content, loving, proud, and a perfect example of a true "Angel among us"! Jane was a perfect example of a women with her priorities in order; family first, people not possessions! No one was in Jane's presence long before her family pride burst from her seams! I so enjoyed the visit we shared a few months ago filled with her stories of Stuart's endeavors, updates on Jimmy, Erin and Earl and OH yes, all of Austin's successes! Did I mention Austin's successes! The pride Jane exuded was so heart warming . During my visit she called Austin to come join us to share his news of college acceptance and joining the Waddington Fire Department. It was so heartwarming to feel excitement. A few weeks ago, Rev. Walter Smith preached a sermon titled "Salty Christians", on our way home I said to Scott "When I think of people who are salt of the earth, I immediately think of Stewart and Jane Armstrong"! All those of us whom were fortunate enough to share a part in Jane's life have been blessed beyond belief and our lives are forever changed by her absence. We will miss the van pulling up in the driveway with Stuart and Jane stopping to gift us with a visit. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you continue on without your sweet wife, mother, mother-in-law, and Nannie. We know that she is directing from above and will always live on in the hearts of many including us.
With much love,
Scott and Ann Wells
