Obituary of Velourse Albert Pharoah

Crary Mills -- Memorial services for Velourse A. "Junior" Pharoah, 74, of the Leary Road, Canton, will be Saturday, September 12 at 10:00 AM at Crary Mills Church​ with Pastor Donna Doig officiating​. "Junior" died Friday, September 4, 2015 at his home while ​under ​the care of his loving family and Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley. Born April 26, 1941, in Massena, ​he was ​a son of the late, Velourse, Sr. & Evelyn Besio Pharoah​.​​ He attended Griffin Country School and Potsdam High School. Junior worked as a Brick Layer/ Mason for B.A.C. Local 2 out of Watertown, NY for 50 years. Surviving are his loving children, Michelle Pharoah and companion Rick Pike of Canton; Victor and wife "Dee" of Canton; beloved grandchildren, Taylor (fiance,Laurel) Murphy, Shayne Murphy, Jason and Sarah Johnston, Cody (April Loffler) Blackmer, Matthew (Brandi) Blackmer, ; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Dylan, Devyn and Desiree Johnston and Ramie Blackmer; three brothers, Nelson ( Marilyn) Pharoah of Lyons, NY, Irving Pharoah of Ogdensburg, Kenneth Pharoah of Canton; two sisters, Gail (Bob) Aldous of Canton and Fay Foster of Parishville. In addition to his wife, Cora, he was predeceased by an infant sister, Theresa Mae. Junior enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice-fishing, his vegetable garden, wood working and precious time spent with his grandchildren.
