To Chris' family, I am so very sorry for your loss. May fond memories serve you well at this time and on into the future. Chris was a student of mine at Mater Dei College. We had what I can safely say was a profound effect upon one another; we learned much from each other and our relationship was a blessing to both of us. We saw one another only briefly and very intermittently in the years since 1988 but each meeting was a real joy. Chris was the poster child of authenticity, a good man with a grateful heart , ever-conscious of the preciousness of life and comfortable with the ambiguities of the human condition. My deepest sympathy to you Lisa and to all of Chris' family. I know too well that your heart is broken and yet you have relief that his journey of pain is over. I have the fondest of memories of Chris. While he could have been all "head," (what an awesome mind!), his heart was equally large and he was able to bring the gift of hope and recovery to many.
