Mrs Van was my home room teacher in eighth grade at Hartford Central School. A wonderful lady and teacher. When she and Mr Van left Hartford my mother Kathryn Cone finished teaching for her. Mrs. VanDeWater was the Librarian at Colton-Pierrepont Central School while I was a student there. She was such a kind person. I have fond memories of spending my study halls helping her. So sorry to read of her passing.

So sorry to hear of Sarah's passing. She was a wonderful, warm and always welcoming presence. I know she affected everyone who met her positively throughout her productive and very long life. My condolences to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and especially to her daughter-in-law Becky Van de Water who was close to her for so long. A long life very well lived!

To the Van de Water Family, I am so sorry for your families loss. I have know Sally since I was a young child. My family use to put in hay at the farm for her husband and her. When ever we were there we would play in the hay mow either on the rope swing they had tied to one of the big beams or would check out the fish in the metal water vat on the side of the barn. Also there was a sharping stone in the hay mow that us kids loved to pedal to get the big old stone wheel just a spinning. When they were done with farming I loss touch with her until we ran into each other at the grocery store and we would catch up from time to time. Then in 2012 I took a job at the canton Daycare center and while working there I would take the children over to United Helpers and we would stop in and see Sally daily. Her and I would catch up and she would admire the children every time. She was such a pleasant person to be around and visit and most days I would catch her reading the local newspaper or the Watertown Daily Times. She had such a beautiful soul and will be missed dearly. May she Rest In Peace! Sincerely, Amber Daniels (Locy)
