Dear Deb and Family, We are so sorry to read about Fred's passing. He always had a great sense of humor and that's just one of the many things that will be missed by so many. Deb, you were Ryan's first baby-sitter and he loved being in your home with all the kids and Fred (he was so much fun). I had the privilege of working with Fred after he retired from SUNY Canton and he came back to do the book for us at basketball and lacrosse games. I got to sit next to Fred for every home basketball game for several years and got to know him. He had a wonderful personality and sense of humor and made my job that much more fun. I know he enjoyed working with the teams and sports and that our student-athletes loved seeing him at games. He made such an impact on our women's lacrosse team that they organized a fundraiser on behalf of him and his family (photo attached). Rest in Peace, Fred. You were one of a kind and will be missed!

When I think of Fred, I smile. I remember his contagious smile! I worked with Fred at SUNY Canton and considered him a good friend. My deepest sympathies to Deb and the family. I'm also happy I purchased his books quite a few years ago and when I read I thought what a wonderful life. Rest in peace Fred! Sue Burke Law
