Obituary of Marcia Santimaw Bouissey

Formerly of Malone- Marcia E. Santimaw Bouissey, 76, of Truman Avenue, Plattsburgh and formerly of Malone, died Sunday, November 20, 2022 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. A graveside service will be held in the Spring in Evergreen Cemetery, Canton. Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services is handling arrangements. Marcia was born October 10, 1946 in Canton, NY and was a daughter of the late Edward G. and Elizabeth V. (Preston) Santimaw. She graduated Canton High School in 1964. On September 24, 1965 she married the late Lloyd J. Bouissey, Sr. in St. Augustine’s Church in North Bangor. Lloyd died May 16, 2001. Marcia worked as a CNA for 16 years for Franklin County Nursing Home in Malone and 3 years for Highland Nursing Home in Massena. Surviving are son “Joe” Bouissey and wife Ellie of Moira; granddaughter Kira E. Bouissey; son Edward G. “Ed” Bouissey and wife Kimberly of Morrisonville; a great-grandson Brian James Joseph Bouissey; and her close friend and companion of 12+ years Paul Fowler of Plattsburgh. In addition to her husband Lloyd, Sr. she was predeceased by her brothers Paul, Jim and Robert Santimaw and sisters Alice Lehman and Doris Rosenbarker. Marcia enjoyed most of her time with her companion Paul, traveling, watching movies and spending time together. She also did volunteer work for the Malone Adult Center and enjoyed reading, BINGO, crossword puzzles and Jumble.
