Ella’s writing ability is beautifully reflected in this loving tribute written by her daughter, Carol. She was a remarkable woman and I was fortunate to know her for many years both in Canton and visiting Carol’s home in Fayetteville. I also was the recipient of several of her letters.

Grandma Stacy,
Growing up with you a part of our family and your love, light, thoughtfulness, and genuine care for those around you influenced everyone you touched with your light greatly. From my father, your great granddaughter, myself, and anyone else lucky enough to be part of your world it was an uplifting, healing, and transformative experience from one of the best, if not the best people I’ve had the honor of knowing and loving. Your patience, understanding, care, and acceptance extended to so many and you were so very much loved in the long, wonderful life you led. You were an inspiration to many and were in every way someone that everyone should aspire to emulate. Your positive reach was so vast over an amazing century of life and you are beyond loved and will be sorely missed by so many. Rest in peace and know that your memory will live on with nothing but joy by those who loved you here.
We love you,
Kat and Mika

We will miss you here at United Helpers. It was an honor to care for such a beautiful, strong, incredible woman. Your sister is here with us & missing you terribly. She enjoyed your rainbow sherbet ice cream last evening, I know you were happy about that. Rest in Peace, Ella.

Some of my favorite memories of Gram are when I stopped over to the house for a visit with Krista and she made sure we didn’t leave without a couple of helpings of food. She was one of the sweetest women I’ve ever known and she had an amazing life. Sending big hugs to you all.
Love, Julie J.
