Obituary of Brett Albert Grant

Canton, NY-

Brett A. Grant, age 76, of Judson Street, Canton died at his home under Hospice care on July 13, 2024. 

He is survived by his wife Lynella Grant; two children Sherm Grant and wife Karen Reynolds and Shanna White and husband Darren White; four grandchildren Alexandra, Miles, Reed and Jude Grant; and a sister Ellen Leach and husband Chris Leach.

Brett served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1969-1971 in the South Pacific.  He worked various jobs in his life including Corning Glass, St. Lawrence University, Town of Russell and Rex Hardware.  He was also part owner of The Hotel Russell.

Brett loved the outdoors and his furry pets.  He was an avid photographer for friends and family and the various athletic teams where his children played.  He was a great neighbor who freely fixed equipment, did odd jobs and plowed snow.

He will be missed by many!
