Obituary of Dorothy Jean Grandaw

Canton, NY-

Dorothy Jean Grandaw, 90, formerly of NY-310, Canton died Monday, September 16, 2024 at United Helpers Maplewood Campus in Canton.

A memorial graveside will be held on Friday, September 20 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton with Rev. Bryan Stitt officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Catherine of Siena Academy or to United Helpers Maplewood Campus.

Dorothy was born May 4, 1934 in Cazenovia, NY a daughter of the late Charles E. Sr. and Anna (Hall) Holmes.  She worked as an account clerk for numerous years for Peggs-Molnar Insurance Agency in Canton.

On August 20, 1955 she married the late Robert E. Grandaw, Sr. in Cazenovia, NY. 

Surviving are a son Robert, Jr. “Bugzy” and wife Susan of Canton; two grandchildren Charles and Erin Grandaw and two adopted grandchildren Natalie and Samuel Grandaw.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Robert, Sr. and a son Brett.
