Avalon B. Enslow, 87, of West Road , Hermon died peacefully while under the loving care of her family at Legacy K Elderly Care Homes.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Crary Mills Cemetery with Lay Pastor Skip Edie officiating.

Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Canton has been entrusted to Avalon’s care and arrangements.

Avalon was born a daughter to Charles and Bernice (Woodrow) Gotham on January 7, 1937 in Canton, NY.  She attended Marshville School and on August 25, 1956 she married the late Theodore Enslow in Russell, NY.  Theodore passed away October 20, 1998.

Avalon worked at the “Treadway” in Canton for a number of years, as well as, at SLU Sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Surviving are her three children Ricky (Karen) Enslow, Trudy Vaught, and Rodney (companion Robin) Enslow; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Theodore, four siblings Lynn Gotham, Stan Gotham,  Mae (Guy)  James and Charlotte Tubbs; and her son-in-law, Rick Vaught.

Avon lived life to the fullest.  She enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, going to concerts as she loved music, camping and a good glass of wine.
