Canton-- Karin Lee Moore, 47, of Allen Road, Canton, died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital with her loving family by her side. ​The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 28th from 4-7 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 21 Park Street, Canton. Her funeral will follow at 7:15 PM with Pastor Michael H. Terrell officiating.​ Interment will be held privately in Fairview Cemetery, Canton. Karin was born January 30, 1969, in Canton, NY, a daughter of Marshall Weekes and Dixie Warner Weekes. In 1986, she graduated from Madrid-Waddington Central School. She was most recently employed at the Ogdensburg Psychiatric Center as a Medical Secretary. Previously she had worked for Community Health Center of the North Country, with her father at Ron Weekes Outdoor Power Equipment and as a secretary for Jeffords Steel in Potsdam. Surviving are her father, Marshall Weekes of Canton; her mother and her companion, Dixie Weekes and Eugene Guyette of Canton; her four boys, Donovan (Annastasia) Weekes of DeKalb Jct., Taylor Chambers of Ogdensburg, Cory Chambers of Canton and Dylan Moore of Canton; five grandchildren, Chloe Chambers, Keeley Weekes, Saige Chambers, Jayde Weekes and Emma French; her brother and sisters, Jeffrey Weekes of Canton, Jennifer Weekes and companion, James Thomas, Jr. of Canton, Julia Kingston and husband Clarence of Massena and Debra Kenny and husband Michael of Waddington. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Jody Lee Weekes, who died at birth; a granddaughter, Brynlei Chambers, who died at birth and a considered brother, Ridge Thorbahn. Karin was a member of the St. Lawrence County Snowmobile Association, where she would groom trails with her father. She was also an accomplished musky fisherwoman, enjoying time with family on the river and pool side on a hot sunny day. She took great pride in raising her beloved boys and spending her time with her "grandbabies".
