Dear Family of Norma, I am so sorry for your loss. I started out as a new teacher at Canton McKenney Middle School in the fall of 1972 on the 6th grade team. Norma was the senior teacher and I learned a lot from her as both a teacher and a person. She was a real gem.

I’m so very sorry to hear about the passing of Norma. I have wanted to get over to visit for the last several months, but things kept coming up. I am with my mother in law who is not doing well so I won’t be able to make calling hours or the funeral. I am so very sorry. Norma was my teammate when I started teaching in 1975. What an amazing teacher, mentor and person she was. We had so many good times and laughs that I will never forget. We should have written a book along with Phyllis MacFadden, Chery Wood, Judy Liscum and Paul Thompson. I will regret not being able to touch base with her towards the end. Rest In Peace my friend and we will meet again and retell all our stories. Wayne W.
