My brother Danny and I had great times on Mr. Prouty's farm. We would help out with milking and haying, and even shoveled out the calf barn one time. One time he let me fire his 5-gauge shotgun. It nearly knocked me down, and I missed the beer can too. Mrs.Prouty cooked the absolute best steaks! I can still see her outside on the grill with the flames 3 feet high. Mr and Mrs Prouty were great friends with my parents. One night in the middle of the winter I borrowed my father's car so I could go "study at the library". Well, I ended up parking out in the country with my girlfriend, Kathy. We got stuck in the snow. Kathy and I hiked down the road in absolutely freezing wind and made to the Prouty's. Mr. Prouty got his tractor and pulled us out. He was a great guy.

Dear Anne & Family:
I am sorry to hear of Everett's passing. I remember meeting him when I was training with you in the winter of 1984. You took me to the farm and we went to the sugar house. the fuel line froze in the pickup & you told me to crawl under and blow in the fuel line, that's what Everett said to do. Everett knew what he was talking about, because the truck started up. That was the first & only time I've done that, but if I ever have to siphon gas, I'll know how to do it.
Condolences to you & your family,
God Bless,
Dave

This hit me hard. Everett has been my friend from my earliest memories. Working on his antique cars and driving them around was a joy that he and all his friends enjoyed so much. I fully expected that I would be the one to go first as Everett seemed so young for his age. Maybe this is one of the reasons that it hit me so hard. Please, Anne and children, I will try and get to the wake if it is at all possible as I don't drive any more and my health is a bit iffy. Just know that my thoughts are with you in your grief.

I will always think of Everett as a special person; full of character and always a joy talk with. His descriptions of his trips to Texas and to the old country were classic. He
could truly be called one-of-a-kind. I'll not forget his laugh. I regret his passing.
