Canton- Everett E. Prouty, 84, of the Brewer Road, Canton, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Maplewood Campus. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 4th from 4-7 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Canton. His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 3:00 PM with Rev. Donald Manfred officiating. Born December 16, 1930 in the Town of Potsdam, a son of John & Zora (Law) Prouty, he graduated Potsdam High School in 1948 and later owned and operated the family dairy farm on the Brewer Road in Canton. On October 28, 1952, he married E. Anne Manfred at St. Patrick’s Rectory in Colton. The couple were married 63 years. In addition to his wife, E. Anne Prouty of Canton, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey R. Prouty and wife Patti of Canton; two daughters, Lauri Allen and husband Don of Kingwood, TX and Jennie M. Prouty and companion Howard “Chip” Shorette of Canton and two grandchildren, Kevin & Kelly Allen of Texas. He will also be remembered by, good friend and nephew, Paul M. Sanderson. Everett was a member of the St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum, the St. Lawrence/Adirondack Antique Auto Club and enjoyed working on his Model T car and antique farm equipment and tractors.
