I was saddened to see Mike’s name listed in the ‘In Memorial’ section of the Syracuse University magazine. We were friends, fraternity brothers, and classmates while at Syracuse (same program). Mike and I lost touch after graduation and one of my regrets is that we were never able to reconnect. Condolences to his family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I worked with Mike in the County Purchasing Office from the early 1990's to my retirement in March of 2007. We shared many fond memories. He was an excellent co-worker and eventually became my supervisor. He was a kind and caring man and that made me want to go to work each day. I will always remember Mike and all the good times I had working with him. May he rest in peace.

Condolences to Mike's family...I first met Michael as a photojournalist for the local TV station and he was a County employee. He was a dedicated and conscientious employee and someone whom I had a lot of respect for and could always count on for accurate information when I asked him questions. In my opinion, he played an integral part in the county's overall success in many areas he was involved in. Rest in Peace Michael and a job well done for many, many years.

Mike was a co-worker for many years. He was someone you could count on. He did a great job and was involved in many special projects within St. Lawrence County government.
I'll share a memory. It was at Royal Pierce's annual picnic. Mike's parents were there and they had been talking to Royal about Mike wanting to return to this area. Royal said that lady right there works for the County, you should talk to her. And so, they did, and we discussed the process of civil service. Not long after that Mike had a job with the County. He was an excellent worker and in my mind that is one of the greatest compliments someone can earn.
RIP Mike. My condolences to his family.
